CO2 Bottles for Fire Suppression. Captured aboard Cap San Diego.

I have lately started putting local contrast before AgX because I get annoyed at the clipping it introduces.

Looking foward to your Playraws!

Lots of G’MIC tricks including vignetting. Also fixed the blow out column.

When I saw this photo 2 things crossed my mind. First - this is going to get a very wide variety of responses. Second - this is going to be fun. Thanks for posting.

I find the shadow highlights module can tame the clipped highlights rather than moving the local contrast module. I like to use the LC module to finalise contrast post AgX. I used tone equalizer to tame the highlights in this image.

Love it - the simplicity, the mood, the colors. Feels like from a movie, so I reduced contrast, added bloom, tweaked a bit here and there but ended up with a very simple version.

The image is just waiting for the villain to come around the corner and smash all those valves and handles. So much unresolved tension. Great.
