@david your line drawing would look nice with a light wash of color. This could be achieved using layers and masks which I am confident you are competent with.
Terry, your wish is my command!
Done very quickly, so not that good. The first I have changed the “ink” to brown and the “paper” to a pale blue. For the second I have used the original colours from the image greatly exaggerated.
Just went through your .xmp. The fact that you used rotate&perspective to skew the image to accentuate the curves of the ship blew my mind. Also a question if you allow: Why astrophoto denoise for “Himmel entrauchen” - I see you using this one frequently and wonder what it is for since I don’t see much change when disabling it. Or is it just an import standard?
The preset “Himmel entrauschen” on Astro Denoise is a preset, which is loaded as standard with every edit on my side.
My EOS 90D has some ground noise which is quite quickly pushed with my most beloved module local contrast. Therefore, I have created this preset to tackle this noise at least in the bluish sky, where I find it most annoying.
I’m quite lazy, so I let many presets load automatically or included them in a style. If they don’t hurt my edit, I don’t switch them off. So there are often some modules switched on in my shared xmps which have not too much an effect, or just for special situations, where the parametric masks than will do what they shall do.
As you have a Sony FF camera, just like my plans are for near future, loading this preset by default, is not necessary.
