Aqueduct in the Bergpark

Aqueduct from Germany, Kassels “Bergpark” during the “Wasserspiele”. I deliberately took this shot thinking “this will go nicely with spektrafilm”.

That thought worked out nicely. With AgX I very much struggled to get the colours right.

My take, mostly getting closer to the subject… With a bit of coloring and sharpening…

nice shot, but i preferred a tighter crop, like proposed by @Terry.

@Popanz the stack of modules in your edits never fails to amaze me. Great edit!

@Terry @marter nice crop - brings out the detail way more.

I think the wider crop would need to be printed on a larg format to properly work; my crop doesn’t work well on (smaller) screens.

Beautiful ! Could you explain the approach you took in ansel in general terms? I am not very familiar with Ansel.

Too much green. :joy:

As always, I don’t particularly enjoy colors and went with this.

Yeah there is lots of reflected illumination from the foliage that I, too, found difficult to get right between acidic bile green and piss yellow :-D.

I have tried to mitigate the purple glow around the trees

And you failed somehow on it. As much as I did .
I corrected it now on my edit. Thanx for pointing me to the problem. I have simply overseen it. Even though I was on my proper machine with a proper screen.
For harder cases like this I often still like to use defringe module which is deprecated. Maybe it’s worth for you to have a look at it. It has its downsides, but sometimes it’s still the last straw for me.

Interesting fact: @LaurentFromSF doesn’t seem to struggle with this problem at all on his own software. I have to have a look. If it’s the way he treated this edit or if his software is managing such difficulties a bit better.
