I have an underexposed image of a tree on a cloudy autumn afternoon. I am struggling with the clipping indication that shows a clipping warning due to oversaturation of the leaves in the tree. This occurs already after importing the raw file into DT 3.8.0 using the scene-refered workflow. Lower threshold was set to -19.69EV and upper threshold to 99.90%, display profile was set to Adobe RGB
I am curious what you can do with this image and how you will deal with the oversaturation.
In the linear RGB from rawproc, I don’t see any values approaching sensor saturation. Actually, I think your image is well-exposed, as it leaves detail in the bright sky.
Here’s my take with rawproc, only a control point curve to lift just the darker parts of the image, flattened to retain some of the sky. I also used my SSF profile for the NIkon D750, but I didn’t notice any material color benefit.
