I disagree, the first one is excellent, lots of atmosphere and I like the warmth to it.

No grid this time, since the software does weird things to the cropping.
The vibrant poison-dart frogs are tiny - which I tried to show with leaving the plant stem for scale, even if that particular capture did crop out the edge of one frog.
Heritage Day, so went to visit the municipal bomb shelter (these things are fairly rare in France, but there were a few strategic targets in the area).

Whilst driving last Thursday this alien-looking spinning contraption emerged as I came around a bend in the road, seeming to even dwarf the mountain in the background.
After momentary alarm, I realised it must be a pruning or harvesting device - I was driving past some orchard-like plantation.

Not a great bit of shooting today, was just kind of going through the motions after a particularly unproductive morning of work.
But DT salvaged some of it, though I did manage to soften it a bit too much with the contrast EQ.
Handful of pictures from the last week. Been trying to tone down my editing a bit, and I think on one of these I set the global chroma slider to negative.
Wish I could remember which one… Oh well.
I’m hoping to get back to weekly outings before all the leaves drop, but I’ve been working weekends and can just sneak in a few photos here and there during the week.
The 2nd one is portfolio worth for sure.
Took 1000 photos on my last trip and slowly picking through them for edits. I’m trying to resist the urge of cropping crowds out of pictures and try to embrace them in the composition instead.
As a fellow plane spotter, these are great!
