[Capture Challenge] Charge your battery and take some photos

I disagree, the first one is excellent, lots of atmosphere and I like the warmth to it.

… continuing on, this time some reptiles.
No grid this time, since the software does weird things to the cropping.
The vibrant poison-dart frogs are tiny - which I tried to show with leaving the plant stem for scale, even if that particular capture did crop out the edge of one frog.

Heritage Day, so went to visit the municipal bomb shelter (these things are fairly rare in France, but there were a few strategic targets in the area).

Not much too shoot inside due to the crowd, so here is the city hall:

I’ll be visiting that strange bell tower tomorrow.

Whilst driving last Thursday this alien-looking spinning contraption emerged as I came around a bend in the road, seeming to even dwarf the mountain in the background.
After momentary alarm, I realised it must be a pruning or harvesting device - I was driving past some orchard-like plantation.
This is a screengrab from my dashcam video

Not a great bit of shooting today, was just kind of going through the motions after a particularly unproductive morning of work.
But DT salvaged some of it, though I did manage to soften it a bit too much with the contrast EQ.

Handful of pictures from the last week. Been trying to tone down my editing a bit, and I think on one of these I set the global chroma slider to negative.
Wish I could remember which one… Oh well.
I’m hoping to get back to weekly outings before all the leaves drop, but I’ve been working weekends and can just sneak in a few photos here and there during the week.

Took 1000 photos on my last trip and slowly picking through them for edits. I’m trying to resist the urge of cropping crowds out of pictures and try to embrace them in the composition instead.

The best camera is the one you have with you - usually these days for me it’s my phone.

Took the mother in law’s dog for a walk after work.

Pixel 6 edited at home with Snapseed while not watching what was on the TV.
