Love this

And every so often you find a unicorn…

Captured this on the way to the thrift store in a row of flowers next to a travel bus lot.

How did you get the colours? RGB Primaries?

Color Cal., Color Bal., and local focus. Very minimal adjustments tbh.

Quick edit from a series of shots taken last night before heading to bed. Not really happy with he photo, but I’m digging the appearance of the edit (on my monitor). I may print this one out to see how it looks.

@AdamFromCanada the blue sky is very pleasing, as is the sharpness and contrast of the moon. I think it’d make a fine print!

One from the walk home (yeah, boring, I always walk the same path), one at home, from the balcony (also boring, I always go home to the same apartment  ).

Both with the phone, 5 bracketed images taken with OpenCamera, merged using HdrMerge, developed in darktable.

Had the day off from work and went out to take some photos in the morning. Definitely need to take a little more time setting up for my shots and getting my focus dialed in.
And those damn herons…I swear they know exactly when I’ve reached my maximum zoom and just got them in the frame before sprinting away.
I’ve been trying to get a closer photo of them all season and not once have I been able to get any closer than about sixty feet before they bugger off.

Lil’ Miss is back and lending a hand testing a new set light. Learning to use lighting next and some new lights came in today. Lil’ Miss stopped by for her evening peanuts and decided to help with a pose.

Not the best capture but a fun one none-the-less. Stay tuned.

I’m presently on annual leave … decided to visit Australia Zoo yesterday. Some of the locals are old favourites (e.g. the Tiger). I had not captured a Quokka before, and enjoyed the framing of the curved water over the curved back of the elephant, with curvy trunk to boot. Some reptiles and birds as well may follow in a future post…

Sorry about the late reply, I’ve not been on Pixls for a few days!

Colours - as I remember it was mostly just colour balance rgb and color EQ, but they’re not all the same.

You should actually be able to download an image, then apply it as sidecar in lighttable to any image to have a squiz through the modules.
I’m not in a position to upload xmps just now…

Last weekend, we had some unusual fog that lasted until late afternoon. I had a lot of fun with it. These two shots were taken in approximately the same place less than two minutes apart. Not great shots, but I think they capture the conditions. A fringe benefit to the lack of detail: the files are really small!
