It’s on static display at a militairy museum.
Thats the actual plane, probably a good few years earlier judging by the crisp colors
We set out yesterday to St. Monans, on the East Neuk of Fife. It was cloudy and foggy, ideal for a variety of pictures.
By the time we got there though, the sun was blazing in a blue sky, and the shadows were harsh. I got a couple of shots of the breakwater, but I was shooting almost straight into the sun:
One sad fact, I walked along the seafront street and started counting the number of houses with key safes. I gave up, it was much easier to count the houses that didn’t have one.
The sun today, partly covered by some twigs.
I think, I will go on working on this technique.
Edit:I just recognized, the line at the bottom might be a plane. I will post another image taken one second earlier.
Here you go. It is very difficult to see objects crossing the sun .
I think your sensor might need cleaning too, you have a couple of spots on there
Another wander around the streets. Never been in this pub.
Looks like I should give it a go:
`By the middle of the 19th century, despite being sandwiched by salubrious streets either side, Jamaica Street had become “awash with effluent, home to shebeens, houses of ill-repute, small industries pouring out smoke and smell and noise”.’
Zürich, Kornhaus: the tallest (118 m, or 387 feet) operating grain elevator in the world. (No, not film grain )
Love it
It feels like you’d have to practically lay down to get all of that in frame.
Excellent composition of a brutal, near monochrome architecture, augmented by the grey sky-- it’s like it’s taken directly from some dystopian movie with the cruel ruler of the world living in his premises on top of the building, and we’re just waiting for Batman or the like coming swooshing by hanging in a rope …
I know that good photographers tend to steadily think of what series they can expand a single image into – something I tend to not to do … , but this image immediately inspires to want to search for some companions (details) to this “monumental” image.
Whatchu got?
7Artisans 60mm Mark II. Very cheap (~200€ new) but not that bad according to reviews. It’s completely manual, though. I didn’t have time to do more than a few quick test shots so far, so can’t say much myself yet.
It is a Volvo P1800😃
Yesterday evening’s almost-full moon, though blown, gives a nice atmospheric context to this scene, I think:
