We had an archaeological outing with the Breadalbane Heritage Society to clean up a site containing rock art. The surroundings were superb (Schiehallion in the distance), but I have to say the rocks didn’t inspire me a great deal.

We will be going back next week for a digital survey and recording of the site. A team from Historic Environment Scotland will be doing this, so I will try to learn something about the techniques they use.

Istanbul - Day xy

Went on another trip to the Asian side yesterday and we had to stop for the big tanker (274m long) on the left to cross just in front of our ferry on its way to the black sea, closely followed by a coastal safety vessel.
