[Capture Challenge] Charge your battery and take some photos

I’m still digesting a large and late lunch as I write this, and the temperature is 30°C outside, and 25°C where I’m sitting… Summer is definitely here! (In Australia, that is )
Maybe that’s why I’m posting two very soft photos… melting… both taken yesterday evening after decorating the tree. :christmas_tree:

And one more… soft in a different way. :slightly_smiling_face: I think this one needs to be viewed big.

@Thomas_Do @vbs Lovely photos. Nice winter weather here as well. The roof creaks at night due to the weight of the ice and snow.

Thank you! I just had to take it :grinning: It was about -19 Celsius in Whistler BC. About a week ago.

Thank you! The hotel had a lovely fireplace. The windows were facing the forest. Very cold outside and very warm and comfortable in. I am surely thankful my family and I were able to go out for few days.

See the seagulls sitting by the waterfront
like sculptures made of stone
watching summer good times fly away
and leave the seagulls all alone

Birds are like words
suddenly away
Birds are like words
some of them will stay

See the empty seat beneath me
thinking of the days l spent with you
memories of what we said
are circling in my mind and make me blue

Words are like birds
suddenly away
Words are like birds
some of them will stay

A picture is worth a thousand words, they say. But for me, sometimes a few words are worth a thousand pictures…

Which should be close to the border between Denmark and Germany …
(A zero too much?)

No, that’s correct :grinning:.

@EspE1 Also: 68 km South of Oslo
would be somewhere West-ish of Gothenburg,
out in the sea.

Anyone be lichen some fungi?

Despite being overcast and wet from 2 inches (50cm) rain overnight, with everything in sight pretty much dead (or so I thought) I went out with my camera anyway. It was a chance to try out my new small Oben 3586 travel tripod (works great!). There wasn’t much to shoot at a very small local lake but I saw some pretty fungi on a pine tree. I have no idea what the fungi nor lichen are, technically, but I like the way they look. In particular I like the little green lichens that look like tiny trees.
