I’m still digesting a large and late lunch as I write this, and the temperature is 30°C outside, and 25°C where I’m sitting… Summer is definitely here! (In Australia, that is )
Maybe that’s why I’m posting two very soft photos… melting… both taken yesterday evening after decorating the tree.
Thank you! The hotel had a lovely fireplace. The windows were facing the forest. Very cold outside and very warm and comfortable in. I am surely thankful my family and I were able to go out for few days.
Despite being overcast and wet from 2 inches (50cm) rain overnight, with everything in sight pretty much dead (or so I thought) I went out with my camera anyway. It was a chance to try out my new small Oben 3586 travel tripod (works great!). There wasn’t much to shoot at a very small local lake but I saw some pretty fungi on a pine tree. I have no idea what the fungi nor lichen are, technically, but I like the way they look. In particular I like the little green lichens that look like tiny trees.
