It’s supposed to be 12MP, but it’s hard to tell if true with the heavy noise reduction

The Sigma SD10 only shoots raw with no JPEG export option, therefore no in-camera setting options.
Here is a composite of the three Foveon layers, SOOC with no conversion to RGB.

The image from the camera never looks like what I see in person. I think that is normal. This is part of the reason why I like taking photos as well as seeing what people do in Play Raw.
For the record, I do see the face.

A nice example of pareidolia, people over at r/Pareidolia would surely appreciate such image 
The point was that I couldn’t see the face when looking at the actual stump when not looking at/through the camera even after the camera had made it clearly visible.
Yes, I was confirming that the recorded image does have a face. May I ask the location of the stump? If it is close to where I live, I may check it out.
First short stroll with my new camera* (Olympus PEN E-PL9). I still have to tweak the settings a bit but I quite like how the sooc JPGs look like.
*I actually just went to a store to get a bag for the camera. Very good, that this made me implicitly carry a camera with me, otherwise I would’ve missed the heron.
