Hi,
Irregardless which module used, on the drawn & parametric mask once click on the details threshold it boomed out without any error messages.
It only happened on monochrome raw files (Pentax K-3iii monochrome DNG).
System hardware shouldn’t be an issue because other than the said raw files, other raw files have no such issue.
System: Windows 10
Darktable 5.2.1
Are you using openCL? Can you start darktable from the terminal with -d commom and share the result? And also share a problematic file and xmp if possible.
IMGP0068.DNG (36.3 MB)
I tried starting Darktable from Terminal(CMD) but no response as shown attached.
Also a copy of my system info as attached, I can’t confirmed if OpenCL is supported on the Intel® HD Graphics 2500.
Thanks.
If you’re using version 5.2 or newer, the log file is in your documents folder.
darktable-log.txt (84.5 KB)
I notice this issue when I am using DT ver. 5.2.0 then I post it on FB Darktable, someone advice to use the lastest version 5.2.1 I then updated it. And the result is the same for both version.
I can reproduce on Master (no openCL).
Thanks for reproducing the issue. Let me know what you find.
LimCW - try without the .exe in the command.
If the issue can be reproduce, please start a GitHub issue with the steps to reproduce and a log. Thank you.
The plot thickens.
I tried to open the file on my main computer (with openCL) and got this:
Same story with another sample rawfile from the K3iii monochrome.
Oh, forgot:
Linux mint 22.1
I can reproduce on master (without openCL) as mentioned.
Linux mint 22.1.
output from darktable -d common:
dtlog24082025.txt (147.7 KB)
So what is the solution. I am confuse till this stage.
I have no solution, sorry.
Not a developer, just a user of darktable trying to help.
It needs an Issue in GitHub so I can be investigated.
I see, anyway thankyou so much.
GitHub? Do you mean I have to do work on it? Can you show me the step? Btw, I am using windows10.
Thankyou.
Bug report
Since there is a reproducer in another OS, the OS is not likely the issue.
OK, at least I don’t have to think of a way to get another OS.
Ok, no need to do a github issue, i already understand the issue and will do a fix asap.
Great and thank you so much.
