general questions

Just a consideration when we talk color many users have one of the tone mappers active by default so the previews is not just the CC module but the net effect all the modules in play. Some have hue preservation sliders like agx and also by default it doesn’t unrotate the primaries etc or people could be using sigmoid or filmic with its nuances so these can be considerations to assess their contribution to any color issues as well their attempt to correct or adjust them

Edit…

While not a dramatic example using the image shared above…

If you open it and to nothing …zoom in a little on the ceiling and look at the reflected light…by default its a bit flat and likely good to grade… but take two small steps…

1 just go to primaries and disable the color corrections…take a look at the gold…then turn them back on and now also double click the master slider to set it to 100 for hue rotation to unrotate the hues…

Grading from those points might be a little different

The gold looks maybe better, maybe warmer?? I didn’t play with any other agx setting including wp or bp or the hue preservation but with the default I might have been trying to get that bump in the gold with colour tools and the same might go for warmth etc so… its just to point out that its a pipeline and though we sometimes focus on a single module we can work the pipeline effectively in most cases…
