Are you sure? Isn’t this filter just mapping colours differently. I just tested it and I got VERY funny, psychadelic colours, just have a look below. But it never created structures which were not in the original picture.
Solved. It was the afore-mentioned luminosity mask which allowed Alien Mapping on those parts of the ground in addition to the sky. I was trying to map just the clouds, unlike your wild example which did the whole image.
There are some features in your posted image that match the green bits.
Gave it a try with my first preset (besides the Nametag)…an exposure mask, and then mucked about with the color calibration module before the color balance. A crop and then a trip through the Contrast EQ.
As well as all the usual button pushing in the hopes that something nice comes out.
