I did the same!
These new styles are wonderful! They are indeed very accurate to the JPEGs, sometimes to a fault (highlights hue twists).
Is there a way to have the styles auto-apply to new imports? It seems to me that we canāt currently have dual primaries as auto-applied presets.
Not yet. Iām working toward integrating them in apply_camera_styles.lua, but that first needs the Film Mode EXIF metadata available to Lua, for which I made a PR which unfortunately didnāt land in 5.4.
Thanks for your fantastic work!
Iāve notice that module order is custom:
⢠color contrast is earlier (before rgb primaries)
⢠an instance of rgb primaries is later (after agx)
I understand that this is intended to better mimic Film Simulation.
But I see other changes that Iām wondering if they are necessary:
⢠exposure is earlier (before lens correction / rotate and perspective / orientation )
⢠contrast equalizer is later (after color balance rgb)
⢠local contrast is earlier (before agx)
Mmm, possibly a change in the default darktable order since I copied it.
The styles must supply a complete order, so if darktable changes its order after I copy it as a baseline into the styles, thereāll be a difference.
Iāll look into that some time soon.
Amazing, thank you very much! Iāve recently made the transition from Capture One to Darktable and having access to the Fujifilm film simulations again is fantastic! It also helps me to understand how Darktable works, by looking at the settings of the different modules.
Thank you for these styles. I have a Fuji XT3 and Iām unable to replicate all the later Fuji style recipes that appear in FujixWeekly for example.
I was hoping to see some 3dluts for a few of the more popular Fuji recipes but I havenāt come across any.
Having discovered colour mapping recently I might try that route to at least experiment.
So my cheeky request is to ask if you plan adding any more Fuji styles.
All the best.
The tool is there to have a go yourselfā¦might be worth a try if you have a specific one you want
Yes, Nostalgic Neg is still on my TODO list, as well as looking into the other parameters supported by Fujifilm cameras (tone curve and DR primarily, since those are what I tend to use).
