Next version of Rapid Photo Downloader can be shrunk to fit low resolution monitors

The main window of the upcoming release of Rapid Photo Downloader will shrink to a reasonably small size. The size it can shrink down to varies by user interface language — the text in the buttons determines the button’s size. This is a sample in which it is running at a window size of 635x301 in a simulated low resolution desktop of 856x535:

The problem of the current release not being able to be resized to a small enough size was flagged as a problem by several survey respondents, as well as in discussions in this forum e.g. Missing progess bar. It has been a longstanding problem.

The preferences dialogue size is about 600x600px, which varies by the style of desktop, font size etc. If the demand is there I could probably allow it to be shrunk to smaller than its current default size. But if so that will need to wait until a future release.
