Hello !
Here is a processed version of a raw file I snapped a few month ago on a very windy day near Guérande (Fr). The raw file is barely clipped and almost everything is in the censor dynamic range (even though the tiny DR of the lumix GH1). Although the raw file should be really workable I don’t think I managed to get the dramatic effect I can muster from this scenery and looking for tricks to achieve that so I’m letting the files here !

What was I thinking? Why or how I changed the white balance, I can’t answer that now. Fatigue probably. Here is everything the same but the camera’s original white balance.
@Bbawt I like what you’ve done with the tone equalizer and the color balance I do not use these enough and here it really brings the murky areas out of the shadow and give them a proper place, the kind of tip I was looking for, thanks !
@afre I guess that I manage to get something out of the lock-down after all
@sls141 Original use of Bloom to manipulate the sky dynamic, I do not use “blend modes” enough but I’ll try that trick.
Artifacts apart (the bright sky visible through the trees and around the outer left and right parts of the horizon too ?), nice sky, tones and subtly light up houses on the coast, I like the idea !
Thank you for the kind words. As to the artifacts, I think the
moral is that I should walk away at regular intervals and return
with fresh eyes. Hopefully I have learnt something from this
exercise.
