This was one of a pair of ravens calling at us while we explored a mountain pass last month. This area is a well-trodden observation deck overlooking the pass, so I imagine their calls were less to ward us off and more asking from freebies.
Love the moment captured here, but struggled to edit it. This was my best shot. I’ll be curious what everyone else does.
DT 5.3 using AgX. What i love about AgX is if you use modules before it like tone equalizer or color balance rgb to brighten shadows or darken highlights the AGX module gives back nice contrast to the image.
I think I like the first version a little bit more. The contrast in the second is a bit to harsh for my feeling. Both are beautiful though. Kind regards, Jetze
I found myself in the same boat. Ended up not focusing on the shadowed feathers and instead trying to maintain or enhance the ones on the tops of the wings.
HQR on…
In the dt preview I liked it but maybe the tree bark was not great match or too harsh after export…HQR might be better??
Great image… maybe even a tighter crop and a couple of other tweaks one version toning down the Iridescence (if that is the right term) in the feathers and one keeping it …
