Why, oh why, do so many granola bars have chocolate and/or peanut butter. Sure, they are high energy, but they are messy af. Each of my favorite brands have one, count 'em, one variety that has neither, and those varieties are often not in stores.

I usually go for cliff bars. They get soft when warm but arenāt horribly messy.

Then if you are developing your own film it doesnāt compare to digital so go for it. This is like comparing a motorbike to a car. Both get you from A to B but the experience is so different. I just struggle with people who shoot film but then hand it over to a lab for processing or worst still scanning. In that case why bother, but if developing yourself then have fun.

Damn, I had a Canon printer with the same problem. Every time I turned it on, it started wasting huge amounts of ink for cleaning. Partially due to this, we replaced it with a laser printer some time ago.
The printer was on on a power plug with a switch to avoid standby consumption (like my whole computer setup). It never occurred to me that this could be triggering the excessive cleaning.

Yes, but not only that, itās also very poor programming. The printer clearly has memory in which it stores paper types, wifi passwords, and other settings. It could simply store an 8 byte timestamp and when it powers on, if wifi is available, fetch the date using NTP and run that against its last stored date, thus preventing a cleaning cycle.
Of course, Canon benefits from users buying more cartridges, so why waste time implementing such a thing?

When I get 300 a day I consider that quite a bit haha. But then again, I donāt shoot wildlife or action, rarely at most.
Iāve recently started trying to shoot fewer photos so that I donāt spend too much time at the computer editing them. Photos pile up quite quickly for meā¦

I was like this, then refined a style which I actually like, now I am using that as a preset and worry much less about extensive editing.

Also: A 550D from 2010 can play fricking doom and my A7III released 2018 has a half-second-delay when changing aperture with the dial ?!

Yeah pretty rare, especially for snow. You can see its already wet, so Iād be that snow doesnāt last, itāll be melted in a few days.
Iāve been trying to get to the snow in Joshua Tree for the last 5 years. I think its happened once and it was around Xmas and I couldnāt make it.
Anyway, Death Valley is hot af, but only during summer. During winter, it can be pretty pleasant or cold. Desert != hot all the time

Yeah afaik deserts also have the biggest day-night temperature drop. Like it could be a hot day and then it drops to near-freezing by nightā¦ I think.

Yes, that can happen. Not for the deserts in southern California, generally speaking. They do get some crazy day/night deltas, but its usually when its just sort of warm, then at night it gets really cold.
When its blisteringly hot, the nights also tend to be warm. I was just in Palm Springs for a few days, and it was 110F (43C) during the day, and 80F (27C) at night. Still a 30F swing in temp, but 80F at night is still warm.
Yeah thatās about the temperature drop we get here in the summer (just not quite 43C, itās usually up to like 38).
