No need anymore someone did all the work for us.

I made styles which mimic Fujifilm Film Simulations without LUTs

I had a few weeks off work last year and I always wanted this, so I made it happen: Fujifilm Film Simulations (all except Sepia and Nostalgic Neg) as darktable styles, without using LUTs and reasonably high accuracy. I also made an interactive tool to compare the styles vs. the corresponding out-of-camera JPEG and Darktable defaults. And you can download them here. They need Darktable 5.4 because they rely on AgX, other than that they have no dependencies. To make them, I wrote a Python tool…

Check it out. In my experience they give a very good starting point for edits.

But actually these days I’m mostly plaing around with the spectra film module. If you really love the “filmic” look you can try to install the 5.7 (WIP) version of darktable and give that a try too.

I’ve upgraded my camera to the X-T5 since, so if you still need the classic cuban neg jpeg with the corresponding RAF file let me know and I will include it in this thread
