Here’s my go. Practicing my masking. Paint stroked the mushroom then dropped surrounding exposure by 2 stops and then emphasized the red in the mushroom and the green in the background. After cropping I couldn’t get the distracting twig out of the lower left corner so retouched, again to practice masking. Beautiful shot, nice work.
All GIMP (with filters) and G’MIC (the filter of filters), Terry. Below’s a tut I posted on how. I did add Bevel Reflect Logo filter to create the marbles (and blended in a bit of Inkscape’s Marble filter; some of my secret sauce that I don’t often share).
