Winery Row - learning the phone camera

Expanding my knowledge by working on the manual functions, over in the pro section, in my phone’s default camera. Tried Open Camera but it did not give me the option to photograph in RAW. Saw the row of wine bottle and thought it looked interesting.

You can try toggling the “Camera 2 API” option…

I am wondering what the actual background color of the Standing Goat labels actually is. I like @Jean-Marc_Digne 's edit with them showing as a fairly pure white. But with all my tricks, it keeps coming back to a very pale pink, for me (and others, too, in their edit posts). I can get it to white, then some other module I want to use will still revert it to pinkish.

The original I posted is pretty close to as-is that I remember. Since I am trying to expand my eye to beyond the nature shots I am used to this is simply and exercise in interpretation and you are free to adjust to what you see and like. With that said, maybe using the RGB modules (curves, primaries, etc.) or Color calibration in DT to reduce the red channel. Still learning myself.

Yes, I have seen many wine labels that are that color, too. Thanks

Ok, here is my attempt. I’m still pretty frustrated. I got it where I want it, but I had to hand-dial the tint (in Exposure) to get it just so.

Before editing I wondered how pure the white was for the bottles in the foreground…the could also be getting hit by some yellowish lights indoors but in any case I looked down the row and there are bottles sticking out a bit where its pretty clear the lables should be white so you used that as a reference… and the result was a fairly white label in the foreground so barring some spot lighting I think that would be the correct result but no accounting of course for any artistic interpretation that someone might choose to introduce…
