Even though that is not a constellation, it is my favorite constellation. Instead, they call it an “open cluster”.
This was first time for me to shoot these. I find editing these deep sky images very hard and I don’t know how do it correct way. I’m pretty happy how this one came out though. 500mm @ 90sec. Here is bit higher resolution version of this image. Somthing is lost when resizing it to this small version.
Indeed, it’s M45, Collinder 42, Mellotte 22 or the Pleiades (Seven Sisters)* in Taurus. Take your pick! ![]()
* Or not uncommonly but incorrectly, “Ooo! the Little Dipper”! That’s in Ursa Minor. This one is A little dipper but not THE Little Dipper.
Also, it is Subaru in Japan.
… and technically it’s an asterism visually but it’s still an open cluster ![]()
Nice info here about Seulaset, as it is called in Finnish ![]()

Made in Hugin from 13 hand held shots (less would be fine also).
These stereo images are great and fun to cross my eyes over! They make each picture feel like a window into when and where they were taken. Would love to see more!
I have some more here.
Those are best when watched with VR headset because of that huge field of view. In that case it almost feels like you are back in that place. I have taken them all with Canon RF 5.2mm Dual Fisheye lens.

What is that food called if I may ask? Looks like oats with some kind of sausage or meat?
It has oats, apples, sugar and some butter. Served with vanilla ice cream. Quick and easy to make and tastes good ![]()
Ah yes! Definitely sounds delicious
I guess those apple skins looked my sausages to me for some reason ![]()
My wife’s family made something like that which also had cranberries. It was delicious!
I like also lingonberry with this same recipe.

This was first time when I got bat on my sight. It was bit darker in real life. I also used Canon Neural Net software for this one.

This is Canon Neural Network test image. Upscaled to 2x resolution and then cropped about 50%. This version is scaled down to 1080 wide from darktable. Full resolution version is in my photo site.
I went to check and it looks really good… It has the expected smudgy look when peeping, but zoomed back to 100% or less, it looks great and I’d bet it would print great as well.
Offtopic but props to your website, I like the way you organize it into categories and the “gallery” view is also great.
