[Capture Challenge] Charge your battery and take some photos

Perfect lighting, and usage thereof. Did you add light for the underside of the cap or was it translucent enough?

A nice proof that you should (always) have your camera with you in case …

No extra light. The cap is translucent enough, and the light came from the right direction. Basically i got lucky

Went for a walk while it was still light out today!

That’s really nice. Just the right amount of abstraction.

Thanks! My walks are some of the harder photography for me: stuff I’ve seen a lot, feels a bit mundane, but I try and push to find new things. I find a lot of gratification from finding little things!

Its also crazy how much things change when you’re really looking at the details.

I feel your pain. :pensive: I’ve lived in the same town for 38 years… I like (and want to do!) landscape photography but Louisiana isn’t exactly the most photogenic place ever. Duh … LOL It’s easy to get frustrated.

Its more challenging that way  you should be a master of the cypress tree!

Nice catch @paperdigits ! :+1:

I can imagine that very well also as a black and white version. To reduce it to the form.

Yes!

I had a photography school holiday class for the students last week.
When I saw what interesting details the kids noticed, I was ashamed of how cliched my perception was.

Had some time the last few days to look at and process the images I shot over the last couple of weeks. Here’s a small selection:

Wasn’t sure if I should have posted these in the Showcase category, decided not to because these aren’t preplanned projects, but spur-of-the-moment shots while on the move, which might be kinda obvious looking at the variety of subjects.

Wow! I love them all! Amazing this thread has had the traction and lasting appeal. It is great to see such good photography all in one place. It warms my heart and eases my stress.

Many of these could definitely be in the showcase category for discovery. Feel free to choose a couple to showcase if you have already submitted multiple entries in this thread!

@afre, @paperdigits, @elstoc : Thanks!

@elstoc If you like the first one from the previous series, you might enjoy this, simpler, one as well:

I’ve had the good luck to notice some interesting stuff the last couple of weeks. Also shows that you always need to have a camera with you…
