Perfect lighting, and usage thereof. Did you add light for the underside of the cap or was it translucent enough?

No extra light. The cap is translucent enough, and the light came from the right direction. Basically i got lucky

Thanks! My walks are some of the harder photography for me: stuff I’ve seen a lot, feels a bit mundane, but I try and push to find new things. I find a lot of gratification from finding little things!
Its also crazy how much things change when you’re really looking at the details.

I feel your pain. 
I’ve lived in the same town for 38 years… I like (and want to do!) landscape photography but Louisiana isn’t exactly the most photogenic place ever. Duh … LOL It’s easy to get frustrated.

Had some time the last few days to look at and process the images I shot over the last couple of weeks. Here’s a small selection:
Wasn’t sure if I should have posted these in the Showcase category, decided not to because these aren’t preplanned projects, but spur-of-the-moment shots while on the move, which might be kinda obvious looking at the variety of subjects.
