I’m disturbed, but it did not comfort me…
Oh, we have one of her Nanas in Zürich:
She’s made many more, some of them quite shocking. Niki de Saint Phalle - Wikipedia
The topic of most her art is awful experiences.
So what is this structure?
I don’t know about that specific one but I’ve seen similar (though smaller) structures at the bottom of retention basins (the kind that is only needed in emergency cases and usually not filled with water).
This could be the bottom of an old retention basin. The relief slopes steeply downward toward this structure. The entire area is overgrown wetland with a very elevated trail.
Nice series. You do good work.
Thanks. The market has so many opportunities
I wasn’t expecting good colour this year, because of all the wet weather we have had. However, we an afternoon at Falkland Palace soon put me right:
Totally grey skies, very little that I could do with them. The figure is supposedly Mary, Queen of Scots, who was imprisoned in the palace.
Total aside, the palace has the oldest tennis court in the world, “real tennis” rather than the modern version.
@alex666 It sometimes happens to me too: the web preview uploads, but the lightbox version does not. Edit
It works now.

Although not at this scale, your image reminds me of my yard that also has a lot of discarded plastic containers (not my decision). Winter is cold, so a lot of them have cracked.
Dancing was his sales pitch. And, yes, I had to buy one of his ginger and lemon drinks.
Had a heck of a day yesterday as far as photo taking goes…great sunrise in the morning (though I’ve deleted the massive .tiff file I tried to upload), and then a pumpkin gathering trip, and I even managed to snag some low res photos of the Tsushinchan comet before it dove over the horizon.
My first comet capture, so even with the low quality, I was excited to even get it framed and semi focused.
