Since we have a whole host of new up and coming software, mostly due to the AI revolution, please list them here for easy tracking with the following information.

PS. It is a Wiki so people should be able to edit. There may be qualifications as to which members may edit. Probably regular users. Yes, FOSS is the minimum requirement. Also, I have no time to maintain this. The OP post is just to get the ball rolling. Someone else may lead this initiative. Thanks!
This is not a dumping ground for just any software. Since we are frequently subjected to spam, another minimum requirement is that there should be an acceptable amount of community interest and participation.

Thread: Looking for feedback on my HDR Finisher app
Author: Lucien Midnight a.k.a. oldtrainwrecks a.k.a. Steven Funcke
Description: HDR Finisher is an editor application for HDR photographs and rendered images. It accepts high-dynamic-range sources, lets you author separate HDR and SDR renditions, and exports adaptive gain-map images for the web. Export formats include JPEG Ultra HDR, AVIF + gain map, JPEG XL (HDR), JPEG XL (SDR), PNG (SDR), JPEG (SDR). Special features include Spektrafilm film looks, local adjustments, diagnostic overlays, histograms, photo library with smart albums, and more.
As per the thread discussing these new RAW processors, it would also be nice to know what the eventual model goal is: FOSS, one-time purchase, donation, subscription, etc.
I know some of the authors won’t be sure about their eventual goal yet, but some may have already decided it will be FOSS, and for those unsure, even “undecided” is valuable information.
@afre, if you agree, can you please edit the original post template?

If FOSS is the minimum requirement, then I should delete my post. Everything in the app is free except for a limited number of negative conversions. It’s a one-time payment to unlock the feature.
A native Mac app for spektrafilm. It builds on Andrea Volpato’s spektrafilm and turbasvin’s Rust port spektrafilm-rs, and runs the full spectral film + print simulation on the GPU.
GPU pipeline matches the 64-bit CPU reference closely enough to use for exports, so exports are almost instant (a 64-bit reference export is still there)
Lower memory use: 60 MP files are editable on an 8 GB M1
Full render with grain on every change, so the preview is the export
Opens RAW (Apple’s decoder, rawler as fallback), JPEG, TIFF, PNG; RAW white balance; keeps EXIF
Not sure if anyone can edit the title of the post, but if so, I think it should be “List your new FOSS software here”, just to make it clear that this is a FOSS forum and it’s the minimum requirement.
Good call to include this info. I updated my HDR Finisher post with its open source license. It’s totally free for anyone to use or build on and there are no plans for any paid content. Cheers!
IIRC There was talk of adding a table in the first post with all programs listed. I thought that was a good idea to see them all together with links for more information, so I started one with the current additions to this thread. Are people okay with that?
Description: Whether you are a photographer who is tired of tools spread across different raw editors or want to create an imaging concept but don’t want to build an entire pipeline engine, welcome to Safelight: the raw editor built like an IDE. Retain full customization and control over your editing workflow, as it should be. It’s not perfect, but together we can make it as good as it gets.
