Museum exhibit.

From a trip I took earlier this year: this is snapshot of a 1970s living room in a Museum taken in the few seconds the room was empty of other guests. The name of the museum is in the photo and so is the shadow of my reflection.

You can of course do with this what you want, but if I was to make this a challenge it would be how you would do it in B/W or alternately how would you do it 1970s-ish style.

I’ll stay with color. Believe it or not, we even had color in the 70s.

This is what I got… I decided to utilize my LUT files and do a mix of teal-orange and vintage-chrome look and played with the colors a bit.

Hello,
Here’s my proposal, I’ve also opted for a monochrome version, trying to reproduce the high-contrast papers.

DT 4.8.1 with a little research to try and replicate camera/film effects.

A little bit of fun with Darktable and GIMP. I only this week discovered that DT will export as an xcf file for further editing in GIMP. I went for a faded color look reminiscent of a fade color photo from the 70’s.

Thanks all of you for the interpretations. It very inspiring to see what you managed to make from this photo,

Special thanks to @Popanz for the horror game screenshot and @Jean-Marc_Digne for the awesome dark b/w and @Terry for how you made the ship at sea pop out of the frame.

I tried to keep the light vs. obscurity contrast:
