snowdrop in the snow

Gave my new-old Tamron 90 mm macro 2.8 a first test drive on the first snowdrop in our garden. I shot these squatting down above the snow and am very pleased with the results. In german snowdrops are called Schneeglöckchen which loosely translates to little snowbell.

Had a very hard time deciding which one to share so you guys get two to play with. I found it challenging to decide on a white balance and to get a soft look with adequate local contrast (which in this case also ends up being the global contrast).

Looking foward to your takes on these  !

Such a pretty flower. We do not have these where I live and I am jealous. I am sure you will get a plethora of really nice straight images, so I wanted to try something a little weird:

I liked the out of focus shadow on the right, but… How about a reverse vignette instead?
