messing with 4-lut topology today gave me an idea.

Since footage after the first 3 luts applied looks like film negative, I decided to import one of my dslr scans into the newest Davinci Resolve beta version that supports .RW2 files from panasonic.

I decoded the raw file into ACES AP0/Linear, then used CST to convert that to davinci intermediate, adjusted black and white point, applied only lut-4 from spektrafilm

Here is the original edit from Lightroom/Negative Lab Pro:

Here is what it looks like “printed” onto Fuji crystal archive dpii:

It is Harman Phoenix II shot on Pentacon Six/Carl Zeiss Jena 80mm f2.8 @ 2.8

Looks a bit off and for sure it isn’t correct way of doing things but it is exciting nonetheless!

Did you happen to shoot the example portrait on the S5II as well?

I’d love to compare the rendering of memory colors (skin tones, sky, and greenery) between Film scan, Print scan, and the S5ii RAW.

  • Film scan: Example 01 Portra 400 Noritsu HS-1800 Nikon F4 + Nikkor 35mm f2.0.jpg · View
  • Print scan: Example 01.tif · View

Thanks!

Never mind. I downloaded the entire folder and realized it was already included.
