Very well done, including the editing.
Nice! Also qualifies for the “People without people” thread https://discuss.pixls.us/t/capture-challenge-people-without-people/37626
Although drought since the spring and windy weather have muted (and / or removed) much of the usually vibrant fall color, southeastern Missouri still has something to offer. Probably not the best of conditions for photography but it was nice to press the shutter button again.

Got out this weekend to try out a new camera that I bought…and I’m pretty happy with it. I do wish to get a lens adapter that will drive the auto focus so that I can take advantage of the features of the camera. All adjustments done in dt 4.4.2.
Wow, really nice shots, I wonder if the 2nd one would benefit from a B&W edit
I missed several hazy shots lately on my way to work and at work … I have to bring my camera …
Love the roots
Thanks folks. It was really convenient how close these were to where I was staying with family this last weekend. The misty trees were a literal three minute drive down the road, and the roots were right in my mom’s backyard. I’m heading back that way again this coming weekend…hoping for more of the same conditions.
Scoping out a new park today. Found this guy. Good day for fish, not so much for the fisherman.
Managed to get it down to protect the local wildlife.
I went out to enjoy the fog, then avoided the “natural” urge to add local contrast, colours and stuff. So there is not much to be seen and two are more than enough.
Be well!
(edit: had to replace the second photo with the meant version)
Lovely @kofa very much a photo I’d take myself
Had some great opportunities on the way to work this morning…to be honest I was actually quite late in getting there because I couldn’t pass these up.
Worth it.
(As an aside, please never put your hobby ahead of your responsibilities…one simply can’t have one without the other.
Awesome takes, wonderful tones - thanks for sharing here. For me a lovely boost for the new day
They are ‘magical’, thanks for posting!
