I like a lot the first one.
For me, I would be perfect without the tree. If the photo could be taken a bit more to the leftđ
Yeah, they look even weirder than usual! The smooth trunks are water tupelo and the ones with striated trunks are bald cypress. Thatâs about the extent of my tree knowledge âŚand only that because I read it on a placard yesterday! LOL
Thanks
There werenât many options compositionally since those trees were on the far side of the lake. Thatâs a crop of a 200mm zoom shot (320mm with 1.6x crop factor).
Thanks!
@elstoc 2nd one is very trippy, well done.
Wenn du und das Laub wird älter
und du merkst, die Luft wird kälter,
und du fiehlst, dass du bald sterbst,
dann ist Herbst.
(from Dieter Hildebrandt, Schlesischer Jahreszeitenzyklus: Herbst)
When you and the leaves turn older,
and you note the air is colder,
and you hear your demise call,
itâs fall.
(I hope thatâs a bearable translation. I hardly speak German, and English is also not my mother tongue.)
Thanks for the great image, and the nice poem!
Thank you - I think itâs a good translation.
I remembered this verse when I saw this scene this morning.
Great translation, well done!
Thanks. I went back to my original version, with âWhenâ instead of âIfâ and omitting the âthenâ. I think it works better that way.
Long time no see⌠Here are the pics taken while walking around St. Petersburg and Gatchina. Converted to B/W with latest darktable. Have fun!
A building on the way home. Also posted as a PlayRaw.
(Edit: replaced the original rendering with another that keeps more detail in the sky.)
