The fog and the ???

Hello,

I just returned from my vacation. We cycled along the east coast of Sweden to Stockholm and back over the island Gotland. At the beginning we were at a nice spot at the Baltic Sea. In the evening after the sun already set, fog was coming from the sea spreading quickly over the meadows. This is where I took this photo.

Behind the black curtain is more to discover. Get the RAW and make it visible!

The mood was more like 6100K and a a tint of 0.988 (darktable). This means the sky was purple and orange when I stood there.

shadows are a bit noisy, but I prefer this to too much NR

edit: @asn - just noticed your remark on colour temperature. Mine is a bit off :innocent:

Wow - Sony sensors are amazing, +5 stops of exposure correction and no noise reduction!

That was fun, thanks!

That’s totally fine, it was just a hint how the colors looked in real. The AWB didn’t reflect that in this picture.

I like the darker one more

When I look at the lighter one for a few seconds, and then look at the darker one, the latter looks too dark. But if keep looking at the darker one, and switch to the lighter one, the lighter one feels too bright to me. In the end, I don’t know.

Another try with better WB, but quite saturated and warmed up shadows :grinning:

The last one almost looks like a depth map!

I tried to go for a subtle, more subdued look that emphasized the stillness of the morning.
